| Weymouth and Portland Adventure is a multi – activity centre based nestled within the Sailing community at Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy. Working in partnership with Weymouth College, we provide adventurous activities to the local community. welcoming everyone of all levels and abilities, aged 6 and above, to join us in the beautiful waters of Portland Harbour. We offer an array of water & land-based activities that can be tailor made to fit our customers’ purpose. We are now looking to recruit an inspiring Chief Instructor to lead our centre and team of seasonal staff in delivering fun, educational and safe Adventure experiences to our College students and local clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the practical delivery and development of activity at Weymouth College’s outdoor centre. You will have experience in team leadership and will be manage the centre's instructional staff on a day to day basis, ensuring high standards of delivery across all provisions. A proactive and solution focused individual, you will work to identify, prevent and provide early solutions to problems which may affect delivery. Your background will include experience in monitoring risk assessments, operating procedures and safety systems to maintain proactive maintenance systems. With a passion for outdoor learning and the ability to inspire, you will be responsible for working with a variety of clients, bringing the many benefits of outdoor adventurous activities to all of our customers. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and be able to work on their own initiative as well as being able to prioritise their work load independently. You will manage our bookings and enquiries from the website, via email and over the phone, you will also have responsibility for liaising with our Adventure delivery staff, ensuring they have everything they need to run their safe, fun and engaging sessions to the community and college groups who enjoy experiences with us. The position is part time for 16 hours per week, over 4-5 days of the week (Monday – Friday) with some flexibility over the hours worked each day. | An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Apprenticeship Team as we continue delivery and grow our apprenticeship offer with one of the region's largest employers - Dorset Council. We are now looking to appoint an experienced Apprenticeship Training Co-Ordinator to deliver our Business Administration and will have previously delivered the business administration apprenticeship standard. Working within the Apprenticeship Team you will be responsible for delivering excellent training and mentorship to help learners achieve their Business Administration Apprenticeship within Dorset Council. This will include 1:1 online delivery sessions, setting personalised learning plans to motivate and inspire apprentices to achieve and progress onto higher levels of study and/or career progression. There will be a requirement to conduct online assessments to monitor development and generate evidence to assist with the Gateway and End Point Assessment requirements in line with the Council’s chosen provider. A collaborative team player, you will be able to quickly build strong and effective relationships across both organisations, as well as demonstrating the ability to effectively plan and deliver remote sessions ensuring consistency and quality. We can offer a flexible approach to working on this particular contract and are keen to hear from both full or part time applicants and we can offer the possibility of remote delivery combined with some time spent with Colleagues in our offices in Weymouth. You will need to be fully qualified as an assessor with experience in teaching as well.
